Choosing C-Section delivery
This surgical method should be used when the health of the baby or the mother is endangered. Caesarean section is recommended when:
- Problems with the umbilical cord arise. There are situations in which the cord is inside the vagina or wrap the baby's neck.
- Bleeding from the placenta.
- Abnormal pelvic structure in the mother. A severe injury or a defect can cause.
- Serious health problems in the mother as heart disease, herpes infection, and so on.
- Severe preeclampsia.
- The birth process is too slow and causes suffering to the mother and baby
- Malposition of the baby. Instead of leaving the head, leaving the feet or buttocks.
- Multiple births of more than two babies. Not all but most.
- Signs of distress in the baby such as slowing your heart rate, etc.
- Disease is diagnosed in the baby such as spina bifida.
To be sure, each case is unique and that present some of these problems does not mean you have to do a cesarean delivery.
